DREAMCATCHERS

We all know the dreamcatchers as a beautiful, handmade objects which we hang above our bed. We find the history of the
dreamcatcher quiet fascinating though. So let’s share the story…..
Originally the dreamcatcher is coming from one of the spiritual traditions of the Native Americans.
The traditional dreamcatcher was used to protect the sleeping people from any negative dreams or influences. It was believed
that through the little hole in the center of the dreamcatcher, only the positive and good dreams were let through.
The negative dreams or nightmares would be caught in the kind of spiderweb what the structure of the dreamcatcher looks like.
The Native Americans believe that the air at night is filled with dreams, good and bad.
They say that hen you would hang the dreamcatcher near to your bed, freely to move around by the air, it will catch the dreams
that will flow by. The bad dreams will not know how to pass by and get strangled in the web, while the good dreams find their way through.

Catching Dreams Handmade Dreamcatchers

The original dreamcatchers are made from natural materials. The hoop is made of a branch of the willow tree and the
decorational elements are all findings from nature, like feathers, beads and other objects.

We are very happy with our own special collection of dreamcatchers by Catching Dreams. Catching Dreams is a Dutch brand
by designer Mirjam de Ruiter. She makes all dreamcatchers herself, from natural materials and elements that she has collected
during her travels.
Therefore all dreamcatchers are unique and real one-of-a-kind pieces and only limited available.
Have a look and let us know which one is your favorite.
